Principals Newsletter

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Our first month of school has passed and the weather has cooperated made for a smooth transition back to the books.

The opening of the year by our PBSIS Universal Team and our welcome assembly were a huge hit. The students enjoyed visits from the teachers of the Satori Academy who highlighted the need for self-control. The Lindeneau “students”, Jules, Mr. Eckert, Vincent, Mr. Stokes and their new friend, Juan, Mr. Kitchell explained the need to make school work a priority. We are emphasizing the need to work hard, have self-control and enjoy the feeling of accomplishment as our focus for the year. As always we are a partnership and know that we need your support with making school a priority. Students need to read a minimum of 15 minutes a night to keep their skills in line with the requirements necessary for their new grade level. Please help us to encourage your children as we continue to make them ready for the 21st century world.

This month the children were able to buy school supplies at the new “Tiger Shop”. Thanks to the PTO, the children are now able to feel that they are truly shopping by paying with cash and receiving change. It is a great learning experience and a whole lot of fun.

The annual PTO Ice Cream Social was a big success. I love enjoying quality time with the Lindeneau family. Thank you to all the teacher and parent volunteers who lovingly scooped ice cream. I also want to thank all the volunteers, especially Mr. Stryker for the wonderful job on our “Tiger’s Den”. I know that it will be put to good use.

I hope that you know that I look forward to each month with your children. I know that October will be a solid month of learning and experiences which will highlight Fire Prevention and Violence and Vandalism Awareness Month.

With warm regards,
