March Newsletter

Dear Lindeneau School Families:

Thank you to everyone who helped to make this year’s Tricky Tray a success. There are too many of you to name! Headed by Marla Kentos (Donations) and Dawn Marie Slocum (Operations), many parents worked in conjunction with teachers, Mrs. Schutz and a dedicated group of Edison High School volunteers to make this event a huge success. We raised over $15,000 for our school. This money will help us to pay for events such as spring field trips, the spring carnival and Fun and Field Day. Congratulations to Mrs. Boland’s classes and Mrs. Ohlson’s class for winning the Class Basket contest! All three classes received a pretzel party.

Although it is only March, please consider running for a position on next year’s executive board or chairing a committee for an event next year. Nominations will be sought in April and elections held in May. This is your chance to work closely with the teachers, staff and other parents for the betterment of our school. I know you want the best for your child. Taking a leadership role in the PTO will enable you to make sure your voice is heard on issues that are important to all the children of our school.

Thank you again for your support. Hope to see you at our PTO meeting on March 24 @ 7pm. As always, if you have any questions or feedback, drop us an email at lindeneaupto@gmail.com

Sincerely,
Christine Cullin, President

CHUCK E. CHEESE NIGHT

On Tuesday, March 15, the PTO will be hosting a fundraiser night at Chuck E. Cheese. Lindeneau School PTO will receive 15% of all register sales (so don’t buy your tokens from the automatic machines!)  The fundraiser begins at 3:30 PM and ends at 9PM.

BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION

Thank you for supporting Box Tops for Education! So far this year we have collected about $1300 worth of Box Tops and are very close to hitting our $1500 goal. Congratulations to Miss Dzibela's 4th grade class for winning the Box Top contest in January; her class collected the most Box Tops that month. They received an ice cream party in February! Keep up the good work, every Box Top counts!

Clipping box tops is such an easy way to earn cash for Lindeneau. Simply clip box top coupons from hundreds of participating products found in your local grocery store and send them in to school with your child. The PTO then sends them into General mills and redeems them – each box top is worth 10¢ and believe it or not, they add up quickly. A list of participating products can be found at http://www.boxtops4education.com./
