Principals January Newsletter
It is very difficult to believe that we are at the end of 2011. The years seem to fly by ever more quickly now. This year has been a wonderful time for hard work and great learning.
This month our second graders, thanks to the PTO, enjoyed a visit to Jenkinson Aquarium. On January 12th, the grade level will be hosting a Penguin Pandemonium.
Our fifth grade spent some quality time with their friends and nature. Camp Bernie was a huge success! Thanks to the budget passing, the fifth grade was once again able to experience this amazing adventure.
So many wonderful events took place thanks to the PTO. Mrs. Kentos and a host of elves entertained a 100 plus person breakfast which highlighted the jolly man himself, Santa. Thank you to all who volunteered their time to help with this quality family event. The Holiday Fair also brought the season of gift giving to Lindeneau School. Thanks to Mrs. Yabra and the many parent helpers, many students left satisfied with their purchases.
Our upper grade students learned about the 3 R’s of waste management with an entertaining way to reduce, recycle and reuse. The kindergarten through second grade learned how to work with each other in a more peaceful way with the George Street Playhouse performance entitled, Peacemakers.
