A Message from Principal Sara Bright
Dear Lindeneau Families,
As the new principal of Lindeneau School, I welcome you to the 2015-2016 school year. I have been working for Edison Public Schools as an elementary supervisor for the past two years and am proud to now call Lindeneau my home. Before working in Edison, I have worked as a teacher, literacy coach, and elementary supervisor in West Windsor-Plainsboro, Princeton, and Oradell, respectively. Throughout all of my experiences in education, I have learned how important it is for parents, students, and staff to work together to help all students achieve.
I am happy to continue Lindeneau School’s theme of being “fierce, determined, and ambitious.” These are three words to describe our school mascot, the tiger, but can also be used to describe goals we have for our students, as well.
At Lindeneau, we work to help your child(ren) be fiercely compassionate. We understand that children must feel safe, secure, and valued in order to be available for learning. At Lindeneau School, we work with to help students develop the skills to build and maintain positive relationships with their peers. We understand that students have a variety of needs and may need support working with their classmates. As a school community, we show compassion for students as work together to build a school community.
Lindeneau School students are determined to achieve. The Edison Public School curriculum is designed to help students learn to think and solve problems. All students are given a variety of tools, including iPads and ChromeBooks, that they can use in the problem solving process. Children have to work with their peers, teachers, and independently as they engage in hands-on learning.
At Lindenau School, we set ambitious goals. These goals may be social, emotional, or academic. We want all students to reach their full potential. Teachers and parents work hand-in-hand to help students not only determine goals, but design a plan to achieve.
I am lucky to work with such a talented, dedicated student, staff and parent community and I am looking forward to a successful school year.
Proud to be a tiger!
