Greetings Lindeneau Families and Community Members,
My name is Donald Platvoet and it is with great pride and excitement that I join you in my third year as principal of Lindeneau School. It is an honor and privilege to be a part of the Lindeneau family and community.
I bring to Lindeneau more than 20 years of experience working in the Edison Township Public Schools. My career started at Woodbrook School where I taught 5th grade for 11 years in addition to coaching at Edison High School. In 2014, I left the classroom to become a Staff Development Trainer where I provided professional development to elementary teachers throughout the district, including Lindeneau. Prior to last school year, I served as the Assistant Principal at Menlo Park School for five years.
As an educator, I believe that all children can achieve at high levels. It is my goal as the leader of Lindeneau School to provide an atmosphere where students learn and hone their skills, discover what lies within and around them, and ultimately find success academically, socially and emotionally.
On a personal note, my wife and I are proud parents to four children ranging in ages from 3 to 15. We enjoy our time together in a number of ways including watching and playing sports, exploring New Jersey on impromptu car rides, and looking for any chance to create new memories.
I believe strongly in the impact that family interactions have on students as they grow and develop. I am very excited to partner with all of you to create an inclusive and collaborative learning community where our students will grow and meet with success.
In closing, I am hopeful that over the upcoming months I will get to know and interact with you as we embark on the 2024-25 school year. Enjoy the remainder of your summer. I look forward to seeing you all for the start of a successful school year in September.
Sincerely,
Donald Platvoet
