As the first K-12 district in the U.S. to go live with Blackboard Mobile Central, Edison Township Public Schools is changing the way schools in the district engage with parents and the Edison community. With more than 15,000 students across 17 school in New Jersey, the district has a diverse demographic of students and families that My Edison will help to better serve.
My Edison provides mobile access to everything from directories to maps and district-wide events, as well as the district’s Parent Portal, giving parents the ability to securely access information on their child's schedules, grades, and attendance – whenever and wherever they are.
Edison Township School District is among the first of the K-12 districts to pursue a mobile strategy. Superintendent Richard O’Malley recognizes the role that parental engagement plays in education, and providing mobile access to the information they need is a necessary step to help parents stay involved in their children's education.
