The second month of school has ended and November is upon us. Before October ended our students were browsing through rows and rows of books at the PTO Book Fair, and then played Bingo for prizes of wonderful and exciting new books. Many thanks to Mrs. McCann and the many volunteers who made the two day sale go smoothly.
The Halloween festivities began a week early this year with the annual Boogie Bash. I want to thank Mrs. Kentos and Mrs. Pena for the fantastic job of organizing and planning this fun filled family event.
November will be a very busy month with conferences and the start of the holiday season.
Parent/teacher conferences will be on November 12, 14 and 19th. November 12 and 19th are evening conferences which begin at 5:00 and the conferences on November 14th begin at 1:45. On all three days the students are dismissed at 1:30.
There is also an extra day of conferences for our kindergarteners on November 20th. The kindergarten schedule on early dismissal days is 9:00-11:00 and 11:30-1:30.
Many after school and lunchtime clubs have begun for our upper grades. The lunchtime computer club will begin upon our return from break. Students will be utilizing recess time to do educational activities on the computer.
The Tiger Task Force is holding a food drive to benefit the food pantry at the New Beginnings Church of the Nazarene. Please consider contributing to this worthy cause. Tiger Tickets will be given to anyone who donates a non-perishable food product. The church has been extremely generous to our school and this is our way to give back to those that are in need.
Just a reminder that the Wednesday before Thanksgiving is an early dismissal.
From all of us at Lindeneau School, I want to wish everyone a very happy and healthy Thanksgiving and for those who celebrate a very Happy Chanukah.
With warm regards,
